Surprises and Prizes

Happy Monday!

What a weekend I had! It was filled with so many wonderful moments, I wish I could rewind and do it all over again. On Saturday I attended my future sister in law’s, Nicole, bridal shower. It was really beautiful and held at my my fave restaurant, Eleven Forty Nine! If you’re an avid GGH’er then you know we frequent 1149 a lot. The ladies did such a lovely job of setting it up, and though I’m pretty sure Nicole knew about her shower I’m equally sure she was surprised at how amazing it was. I took a ton of photos and if you’d like to check them out follow this link:

After celebrating Nicole starting a new chapter in her life on Saturday it was equally blissful to celebrate another milestone in my own life! Yesterday was my 3 year Wedding Anniversary! Seems like it was a lifetime ago that we were in sunny Las Vegas at the gorgeous Mandalay Bay Four Seasons and I walked down the aisle to marry my best friend. It was a perfectly sunny day and our family never looked more glamorous ;). I’ll post a link to our wedding photos too!

I don’t know why but this is one of my fave pics from my wedding!

And one more, since I loved my gown!

I would seriously get married all over again, and if we ever win the Powerball…..I’m gonna!

Fast forward 3 years and here we are going out last night to celebrate!

Still smiling just as big! We had such a nice night out, Cheesecake Factory-Dave &Busters-and home to watch Law Abiding Citizen.

No pics from Cheesecake as that was my gift to the hubby… pics or ingredient worrying just a nice dinner ;). However, I couldn’t eat all that I ordered so I wrapped it and snapped a pic of the left overs! HA! That’s me always thinkin’ ;). I ordered my fave sandwich in the world, The Navajo! Grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, tons of avocado and mayo on the side all on delish homemade flatbread!

This sammie is GIGANTIC! I ate 1/2 of a 1/2 there, wrapped up the other whole 1/2 and ate 1/2 of that 1/2 this afternoon. That’s the whole 1/2 in the picture…it could feed a kindergarten class, for real. Alongside my sammie, last night, was a perfect mixed green salad with balsamic on the side and I washed it all down with a white sangria. Truly lovely.

So after a weekend of indulging and a celebrating there was only one thing to do this morning-RUN! I was happy to see it wasn’t raining yet when I woke up so I put in a quickie here in the neighborhood and just made it back home before the Heavens opened. I re-fueled with an Italian Bacon Egg White Muff!

-2 egg whites scrambled

-1/4 tsp Italian seasoning

-1 slice of Rice Cheese

-1 whole wheat English muffin, toasted

-1 tsp bacon bits

In bowl stir seasoning and bacon bits with whites. Scramble mixture, place on muff and top with cheese! YUM-O!

With a full belly we set out to drop off my car for new brakes-that’s fun LOL. BUT when I got home there was a package waiting for me!!! It was my Peeled Snacks!!!

Cherry, Apple, Banana, Apricot, and Pineapple! I of course started with Cherry, as they are always placed right next to the register at my local Starbucks!

These little gems are 130 cals per serving and ZERO grams of fat! The best part is when I looked at the ingredient list it read as follows: CHERRIES! That’s it, just cherries! These were so amazing, like a healthy fruity explosion of goodness! I can’t wait to try the other flavors and I will certainly keep you updated! Find your own Peeled Snacks by Following them on Twitter and PLEASE tell them I sent you!! That’s a tasty Follow!

  • I need the travel mug because, as I said on the other post, I make my own dark cocoa mix and I like to drink it slow. I use a travel mug at home because it keeps my cocoa hot much longer. An extra mug would sure be welcome so I don’t have to wash this one so often.

  • I love PureVia and any pure stevia product. I really, really am drinking PureVia right NOW in a cup of hot, dark cocoa. I make the mix myself so I can have the dark cocoa that is so good for you and the stevia which is also good for you. You look beautiful in all your pics.

  • Never heard of PureVia but would like to try. Also, where do you find rice cheese? Is it completely vegan?

  • Ohhhhh…..they look so good! PureVia – what a great snack on the go. I love dried fruit!
Gotta find me some of these….

  • Those peeled snacks look amazing, I’ve never seen them at my Starbucks! I think it’s so frustrating when dried fruit is made with extra sugar, they are sweet and delicious enough on their own!

  • Tera,

What a great post so much you’ve accomplished and great way to show everyone how to jump right back on the clean eating after a celebratory treat! I am also moving to the Stevia products, I’d love that mug for my Chai & Green Tea breaks! :))

You’re doing such a great job. I really enjoy your tweets and blogs entries.

  • LOL no I wouldn’t put PureVia on Rice Cheese. It’s a cheese alternative, great for vegan, vegetarian, or lactose free eaters!

  • Great post! Aww, your wedding dress was sooo pretty! I’m curious about PureVia, since I’ve really been into trying different Stevia products. Also, I’ve never heard of Rice cheese. Will need to look into that, too! 🙂
