No Excuses

Happy Monday!

Typically on Monday’s I send out a mass email to all of my Fabulous Fall peeps in regards to weighing in, my weight loss for the week, maybe a recipe, remind them to drink water work out etc etc…..but as I checked my emails I saw EVERYONE had the same exact few words in each check in email….

“I did really bad this week” “I ate Halloween candy” “I gained weight I CAN’T do this” “I’m gonna start fresh next week” ‘I forgot to go grocery shopping so I’ll start next week”

See a theme? Because I sure do! We have been at this for over a month now. My inbox was overloaded at the beginning of this Challenge, to the point where I couldn’t keep up, and now there are crickets chirping in there! In my last email i said I wanted EACH of you to check in with me and out of 80 Pledges only 10 did! Where are the other 70?! My hope is that the other 70 are bumping along drinking a minimum of 64 ounces of water daily, working out for at least 60 minutes 3 to 5 times a week, and planning their meals….but my guess is that’s no the case. So here it is Monday….the famous weight loss start day….so how many of you are really gonna start?

Friends I can’t tell you how many times I made the same statements! I’ll start next week, tomorrow, next month… just keeps getting bigger! I made the old the dryer shrunk my shirt/jeans excuse, I’ve done I don’t have time to go to the market, I’ve said I don’t want to go the gym alone I’d go if someone went with me.

The list goes on and on and the more excuses I made the bigger I grew! Please make today the day that you clean out the cabinets and fridge! If you can’t bear to throw the cookies/chips/soda away donate it to a food pantry. I don’t like the idea of continuing the chain of un-healthy but if you feel like it’s money in the trash then donate it. That Halloween candy you’re DEFINETLY going to buy, toss the left overs! Don’t take it to the office….because guess who will it….yep YOU! Either toss or donate and start fresh. Do this for yourself, get healthy, get on track and don’t plan to do it….DO IT! Plan to succeed, set a goal and REACH IT! I’m always here for support, to listen, to share recipes, and to be a friend who’s been there. We have roughly 6 weeks left in this Challenge so stop making excuse and get FABULOUS!!!

    I have been making excuses for WAY too long. I have motivation but can’t seem to get my head wrapped around making a change.

  • I feel you. I know how frustrating it can be to want to motivate others and the determination to just die off. I experienced the same thing with my 30 Days of Self Love that I hosted in September. Hopefully you sparked a fire in some people. It’s never too late and we can all achieve great things with determination. 🙂
