A big fat HELLO!!!
So sorry I have been MIA for so long but I was really feeling a little GGH writer’s block. I’ve been doing GGH for a year and half now and for the first time last week I sat in front of my laptop with absolutely nothing to say. I didn’t even feel like sharing any of the new recipes I had. I’m wondering if any of my other blogger friends experience that same feeling? I sometimes feel as if I sit down and shovel you guys the same song and dance with each post and then throw in a recipe or two….and that felt redundant and BORING.
But at the same time isn’t that what Health and Food bloggers do? So sit back, relax and enjoy some yummy recipes and get inspired by some of the awesome news from our Fabulous Fall Challenge!
Black Bean Chili:

-1 chili seasoning packet
-pinch each salt and pepper
-1 15 oz can crushed tomatoes
-1 small can tomato paste
In large pot coated with cooking spray begin browning turkey. Once turkey takes on a golden coating, add in all additional ingredients and stir well. Allow chili to come to boil, cover and reduce to a simmer. Allow chili to simmer until nice and thick-top with reduced/fat free cheese.

In a large skillet saute onion and garlic until aromatic and onion is clear, add chicken and mix well. In a small bowl combine cheese, chili powder, salt and sauce stir well and pour over chicken, combining everything. Allow mixture to simmer and cheese to melt.
In a large pot boil peppers until soft, remove and place in baking dish. Fill peppers with chicken mixture and top with cheese, bake in pre heated 350 oven until cheese is melted.
Amazing Grass Pumpkin Smoothie:

And lastly, this email totally made my day!!! This is an awesome idea!!!!
Hi Tera! Wanted to check in and give you an update. Last week I was in
NYC. Did a ton of walking and although I did indulge occasionally I lost
2lbs. Over the weekend I got myself back in gear 100% and started doing
my exercises again last night. Now that my NKOTB cruise is 6 1/2 months
away it’s time to really kick it into gear and stick with it.
I made a new “scale” for myself before I left for vacation. I took my
waist measurement and then cut a pink ribbon to the same size as my
waist and wrote the date on the ribbon. I think took another pink ribbon
and cut it to the healthy size my waist should be. I am going to use
this as my new scale and only weigh myself once a month. Every time I
lose an inch from my waist I will cut it off the ribbon and keep all the
clippings. I have 19 inches to lose around my waist, to me it is less daunting then saying
I need to drop 85 lbs. This will (hopefully) make it more “fun” for me in the battle
to get healthy.
I love each of you who were brave enough to share to share with all of us!!! Keep up the amazing work!!!
Healthy Wishes to all!!- Tera
