Day 44-End of the Calorie Count

Good Afternoon!

I’m just gonna get it out of the way, the Calorie Count Challenge is over!!!! YES!!!!!!! Only yes-ing because I was dying to weigh in LOL.

It really wasn’t that bad and I have to say I even cheated and went over my cals here in the past few days due to hormonal issues, wink wink nudge nudge ladies. I didn’t get way over though maybe just 200 here and there and I always made sure that I ran at night, did crunches on the ball, or just went extra hard at Fit World the next day. I am pleased to report that in the 2 weeks I dropped 12 pounds which is pretty fantastic for some one in my stage of the weight loss game. 6 pounds a week is great for me! It’s not like in the beginning where I was losing 10 and 12 pounds a week but it’s OK. My co-challenger has decided she wants to continue with the challenge but is pleased to announce that she dropped 20 pounds in 2 weeks! So proud that brought her down to 200 lbs!!! EXCELLENT! For those of you who are on your weight loss journey and looking to get to that 199 milestone you know seeing 200 is just the push you need to keep going! I was just sharing with Mr. GGH that I remember vividly hitting the 199 mark and dancing around our bathroom naked and singing “I did it, I did it” LOL. I have also hit my own milestone in officially being 97 pounds thinner! WOOOOOO I’m not naked but I am singing “I did it, I did it”. I will have that 3 pounds gone by Sunday I guarantee it! I’m gonna kick my own boooo-tay so that I can proudly say I have lost 100 pounds in less than 1 year and I did it the Healthy way, the Girl Gone Healthy way actually. So I encourage you guys to start your own challenges. Try it for a week, 2 weeks, a month whatever just don’t weigh your self through out! That was the hardest part for me, but I’m so glad that I waited and saw such a great number. I haven’t been proud of myself in a long time and that feeling alone is worth it.

So I did hit Fit World this morning with every intention of going to Zumba, but the treadmill was calling my name. I have taken so many classes that I just needed a mindless run, plus Zachary had one of his “party” nights last night so sleep was not in the cards.  Good run though, I did my Paula K. intervals and put in a total of 1.75 miles on a 3.0 incline. Nice and sweaty. Mr.GGH was also there working out with his buddies so I followed them around here and there and did some weights and abs. Zachary came with us this morning too and got his work out on in the Kids Play Place.

Well friends my tummy is rumbling and I’m thinking it’s time for a snack! I have already had a Yoplait Light 110 calorie yogurt pre-gym and my new love a Zone Perfect Fruit Bar at 200 calories post gym. Now I need some real food and I know I have some Trader Joe’s Chile Lime Chicken patties in the freezer…mmmmmmmm.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and are inspired to start your own challenges. If you do please let me know so that I may be of support to you along with the rest of GGH nation.

See you tonight and I will fill you in on last night’s date night and the yummy food we practically inhaled at Eleven Forty Nine!

Oh and P.S.!!!! Hit Ellen super hard this week I have received 2 emails saying they have received tons of emails about GGH!!! Let’s DO IT!!!!
