Schedule Your Work Out

Have you ever heard of the saying “set yourself up for success”? It is so true and we can apply it in so many areas of our lives. I have a feeling that upon reading that statement a lot of you didn’t think of health or fitness first….you might have thought of your career or something along those lines.

But what if we did think of our health in regards to setting ourselves up for success? How would you even go about accomplishing something like that? For starters you have to have a plan, an actual detailed laid out plan. For some this task can be daunting or even discouraging but it doesn’t have to be. Let’s map out a plan for fitness….ready?

  1. Planning

  2. Sit down with a weekly calendar and determine how many days of the week you are willing to exercise
  3. Decide what specific type of exercise you want to engage in. For instance, cardiovascular exercise will help you lose fat, whereas lifting weights will build muscle. 
  4. Commit yourself to exercising according to your plan. This is the most important step.
  5. Follow your schedule for at least one month. The results you’ll see after four weeks should be enough to keep you motivated.

So in 5 easy steps you’ve laid out a plan to get some REAL results in 30 days! Next time we’ll chat about planning our meals….let’s face it planning our meals is always easier than planning physical activity. It’s sticking to the plans that requires the work ;).
