Healthy Holiday Prep Challenge

I know you don’t really want to think about it BUT Thanksgiving is just a little over 8 weeks away! How many of you will be seeing friends or family you haven’t seen in a while? How would you like to be in SMALLER jeans for the Holidays or better yet a snazzy new dress! How would you like to get your eating under control BEFORE the Holidays arrive that way you are less likely to over indulge and GAIN MORE WEIGHT…..you know weight you’ll pledge to lose come New Year’s Day…..let’s get that weight under control NOW!

So how is it going to work you ask? Simple! We are going to begin working on everyday behaviors and habits, and tweaking them, to the point that they become sustainable, manageable life style changes. I came across this awesome format while browsing Pinterest the other day and modified it a little to suit my vision for this Challenge, check it out!

What you need to know

-This is an 8-Week Challenge that begins Monday 9/22/14.This Challenge will end the week before Thanksgiving on Monday 11/17/14!!!!

-There is a weekly point calendar for each of the 8 weeks

-You can exercise each day, but you will only receive points for exercising 5 out of 7 days a week.

-Food Journal: You may use old school pen and paper or Track via phone app like My Fitness Pal, whichever will help you be most successful!

-Weigh In happens EACH WEEK on Monday!

-Invite someone to do the challenge with you! They will be the one you send a weekly email/text to and it will help keep both of you motivated and on track! You may check in via Girl Gone Healthy on Facebook too! It’s amazing the strength that comes from encouragement from your teammates! It helps knowing that you are all in this together and makes you accountable for what you do or don’t do.

-Example of how weight loss points work: You will get 5 points for maintaining your weight AND 10 points for each whole pound lost. If you maintained your lowest weight, you report 5 points. If you lost 1 pound, you would get 10 points for that pound, so you would report 10 points.
